5 Signs Your Hair Is Craving Moisture

Does your hair feel dry no matter how much conditioner you use? When hair loses moisture, it can quickly become frizzy, tangled and difficult to manage.

Here are five signs your hair may need some extra hydration.

1. It feels dry or rough

Healthy hair should feel soft and smooth. If your hair feels rough, straw-like or dry to the touch, it may not be getting enough moisture.

2. Frizz has become harder to control

A little frizz is completely normal, but ongoing frizz can be a sign that your hair is dehydrated and trying to absorb moisture from the air.

3. Your ends tangle easily

Dry ends tend to catch on each other, causing knots and tangles. If brushing your hair has become more difficult, your ends may need extra nourishment.

4. Your hair has lost its shine

When hair is properly hydrated, it reflects light and looks naturally healthy. Dry hair can appear dull, flat and lacking in shine.

5. You are noticing more breakage

Dehydrated hair is often more fragile. If you are seeing snapped strands, split ends or breakage when brushing and styling, dryness may be contributing to the problem.

Heat styling, colouring, sun exposure, changing weather and harsh products can all strip moisture from the hair. Using products that are not suited to your hair type can also leave it feeling dry and difficult to manage.

The right hair care routine can make a big difference. Gentle cleansing, regular conditioning and nourishing treatments can help restore moisture, improve softness and protect the hair from further damage.

At Hair by Evie Rauber, I use the Oway hair care range to support healthy, hydrated hair. Made with naturally nourishing ingredients, Oway products are designed to care for the hair while helping restore softness, shine and manageability.
